How to write the perfect dating profile
by John A. Roberts
The success of your online dating experience depends heavily on what you say on your profile. Your ability to capture the interest and imagination of others reading your profile is based on what you write and your style of writing.. Writing an online profile can be a daunting task, however, all it takes is a little time and energy, and you'll be well on your way to attracting the women you desire, while quickly weeding out those who you don't want.
Online dating profile tips
- Discuss your career and plans for the future. Without bragging about your success, talk about positive things you've accomplished in your career. It gives women an overview of what you want to accomplish and how high you've set your goals. Be careful of listing too much information. You don't want to attract women who only want you for your money or status.
- Headlines and usernames. Make sure you create a headline that says something unique about yourself. However, using names like "1shyguy" will generate assumptions to people. You should use names that uniquely identify you.
- Tell them what you like to do for fun. Talk about what makes you happy, and what you do to keep yourself entertained. If your a social person, mention the type of friends you enjoy spending time with. If you define fun as parachuting or traveling across country in an RV, mention that.
- Be honest. If you lie about your job status and other things you are not too confidant about, it will catch up with you in the long run. Be honest about things even if it sounds negative. Also, don't lie about something that she will automatically notice on the first date (like your weight or height).
- Stay away from sexual topics. A woman who is looking for a guy to start a relationship with may not be interested in sex with you immediately. Stay away from saying things like, I love to watch sports and have sex. Saying stuff like that isn't going to get you anywhere with the ladies.
- Don't brag about yourself. Women like men who are self confident but they often dislike guys who brag about themselves.
- Use good photos and make sure they are photos of yourself. Make sure you include a nice photo on your profile, it will get you more responses. Don't use pictures that are so good that they look like they might not be you. Using pictures that are not yours is a violation of tip number four. You can act like it's you for a while, but what will happen if you decide to meet the person?
- Keep it short and sweet. Make your essay about 300 words or less. If you keep rambling away about yourself, the woman may lose interest.
- Be original. Saying things like "I love long walks on the beach" is something that everybody uses. Be creative.
- Be open minded. Stay away from saying things like " I only like women that knows how to party". What your saying is that your only attracted to one kind of woman, and all the other women who might be attracted to you will write you off because they'll feel that your not going to be interested in them.
