Flirting
Flirting is a way to meet potential mates and see if they are compatible. In some situations, such as at a dance or a party, flirting is a fun way to open the door to a possible romantic relationship.
Flirting is a form of human interaction, usually expressing a sexual or romantic interest in the other person. Flirting can consist of conversation, body language or brief physical contact.
Easy flirting tips:
- Make eye contact: A British scientist determined that, on average, when talking, people look at one another 30 to 60 percent of the time. Increase your eye contact to about 70 percent. Extending the amount eye contact makes a person feel that both
of you are already in a deep state of attraction and it geometrically
increases rapport. To women, the extra eye contact usually means, "Beautiful lady, I am facinated by you." To men, the extra eye contact usually means, "I am very attracted to you." Be sure to look softly, and directly into the person's eyes.
- Smile: Everyone likes to look at a smiling face. When a women smiles at a man, the man usually sees it as a friendly gesture and an invitation to start a conversation. Make sure your smile is friendly and respectful, not a leering grin or salacious smirk. Smiling also boosts your self esteem and makes you feel better. If you are having a bad day, try 'shop and smile'. Go to a coffee house or a mall and sit where there is a lot of foot traffic. Smile at every person who walks by you. Within five minutes, you'll feel a lot better.
- Don't use a pickup line: If you are interested in talking to the person sitting next to you or standing across the room, your 'conversation starter' should relate to the person or the current situation. For example, if you are at a party, ask the person how they know the host or hostess.
- Flirt with questions by asking positive questions: Once you have started a conversation, keep the conversation going by asking fun questions. A positive question usually provokes a positive answer. An example of a 'positive question' is, "what do you do for fun". Avoid
'why' type questions. It tends to provoke the other person to justify their beliefs.
