Orange Seared Tofu
Ingredients:
- 2 packages of firm tofu, cubed
- flour
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 6 tbsp of olive oil
- 2 tbsp of sugar
- 2 tbsp of sesame seeds
- 1 orange, peeled, seeded and chopped
- 2 tbsp of orange juice
- soy sauce
Directions:
- Roll the tofu in flour and set aside.
- Sautee the orange juice, orange, garlic and sugar in the olive oil for 3 minutes.
- Add 1 splash of soy sauce and the tofu.
- Cook the tofu in the orange glaze mixture for 10 minutes or until the tofu looks sticky.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Wasabi Honey Tofu
Ingredients:
- 5 tbsp of ginger root, grated
- 2 packages of firm tofu, cubed
- flour
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 6 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- 2 tbsp of sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp of honey
- 1 tbsp of wasabi paste
- soy sauce
Directions:
- Roll the tofu in flour and set aside.
- Sautee the wasabi paste, ginger, garlic and sugar in the olive oil for 3 minutes.
- Add 1 splash of soy sauce and the tofu.
- Cook the tofu in the wasabi glaze mixture for 10 minutes or until the tofu is sticky.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Fennel Seared Tofu
Ingredients:
- 1 1/3 lbs of tofu, washed and cubed
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 5 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 tbsp of fennel seed, chopped
- 1 lemon, sliced thinly
- 1 tsp of lemon zest
- 1/2 cup of sun dried tomatoes, chopped
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Set the lemon slices aside.
- Combine all the remaining ingredients in a bowl and toss them together well.
- Line a baking dish with the lemon slices.
- Pour the tofu mixture on top of them.
- Place the baking dish in a 400-degree oven for 18 minutes.
