Mexican Style Tofu
Ingredients:
- 5 tbsp of lime
- 2 packages of firm tofu, cubed
- flour
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 tbsp of cumin
- 6 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 tbsp of orange juice
- 1 tsp of oregano
Directions:
- Roll the tofu in flour and set aside.
- Sautee the cumin, oregano and garlic in the olive oil for 3 minutes.
- Add the lime and orange juice and the tofu.
- Cook the tofu in the lime mixture for 10 minutes or until the tofu looks sticky.
BBQ Style Tofu
Ingredients:
- 2 packages of firm tofu, rinsed and cubed
- 1 cup of celery, chopped
- 1 cup of onion, chopped
- 2 scallions, chopped
- 1 tbsp of cilantro, chopped
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- flour
- 1 tbsp of brown sugar
- 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp of chili powder
- 1 cup of BBQ vegetarian baked beans
- 3 tbsp of olive oil
Directions:
- Roll the tofu in flour and set aside.
- Sautee baked beans, celery, onion, scallion, garlic, chili powder, tomatoes and sugar in the olive oil for 3 minutes.
- Add the tofu and cilantro.
- Cook the tofu in the BBQ mixture for 15 minutes or until the tofu is sticky.
Spicy Steamed Tofu
Ingredients:
- 1 (13oz) pack of firm tofu, washed, cubed and steamed for 5 minutes
- 2 1/2 tbsp of sesame oil
- 3 tbsp of toasted sesame seeds
- 3 tbsp of chili sauce
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 tbsp of oil
- 2 tsp of sugar
- 1 clove of garlic, crushed
- salt and pepper
Directions:
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.
- Allow the tofu to marinate for 2 hours.
- Serve as a salad.
