Veggie Stew


  • 2 cans mixed vegetables (such as Veg-All)
  • 2 beef bullion cubes
  • 1 can corn
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 7 cups water
  • 1 tsp. black pepper


  1. Add all ingredients into a large pot; do not drain canned vegetables.
  2. Let mixture simmer for one hour and serve hot.

**Also works well in crockpots.




Broccoli Soup


  • 2 lbs. bags of frozen broccoli, defrosted
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 chicken bullion cubes
  • ½ tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/3 cup flour


  1. In a medium sized pot combine all ingredients except the flour.
  2. Cook until broccoli is very tender.
  3. Scoop out ½ cup of liquid and slowly mix it to the flour in a separate bowl. This will make a paste to thicken the soup.
  4. Add paste mixture to soup and let simmer until it reaches desired consistency.
