Red Lentil Vegetable Soup


  • 2 cups of red lentils
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp of cumin
  • 2 ribs of celery, chopped
  • 1 tsp of cayenne pepper
  • 3 carrots, peeled and shredded
  • 7 cups of vegetable stock
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 3 tbsp of olive oil


  1. Sautee the onion, celery, carrot and garlic in the olive oil for 7 minutes.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer covered for 40 minutes.
  3. Add the soup to a food processor and puree until the ingredients are mixed well.
  4. Serve immediately

Serves: 5-6 persons




Lobster Chowder


  • 2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 cans of clams with juice
  • 3 cups of half and half
  • 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 3 tbsp of flour
  • 1 can of lobster


  1. Sautee the onions in the butter until they become translucent.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer for another 20 minutes.

Serves: 4-5 persons
