Mama's Kitchen Dilemmas

Inexpensive Ovens



Creamy Cranberry Shake

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream
  • 16 ounces can jellied cranberry sauce

Directions:

  1. Place about half of the milk and about half of the cream cheese in a blender container.
  2. Cover; blend until smooth.
  3. Add about half of the ice cream and about half of the cranberry sauce.
  4. Cover and blend until combined.

 

 

 

Whopper Malt

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Whoppers candies
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 scoops chocolate ice cream

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in blender and mix well.

 

 

 

Apricot Velvet

Ingredients:

  • 1 (12 oz.) can apricot nectar, chilled
  • 2/3 cup apricot preserves
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream, slightly softened

Directions:

  1. Place apricot nectar, apricot preserves and almond extract in a blender container.
  2. Cover and blend until smooth, scraping down sides of container as needed.
  3. Add 1 cup of the ice cream.
  4. Cover and blend until smooth.
  5. Repeat with remaining ice cream.
  6. Serve in small stemmed glasses or transfer to a 6-cup glass pitcher, cover and chill in coldest part of refrigerator up to 45 minutes.
  7. Stir before serving.
