Mama's Kitchen Dilemmas

White Wine Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of dry white wine
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cram
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 lemon, squeezed
  • 1 plum, peeled and diced

Directions:

  1. Simmer the garlic in the olive oil and butter for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 9-12 minutes on low.

 

 

 

Vodka Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of vodka
  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp of flour
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • 4 tbsp of parsley, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, peeled and chopped

Directions:

  1. Sautee the onion and garlic in the butter for 4 minutes.
  2. Slowly incorporate the remaining ingredients and simmer them over a medium heat.
  3. Stir constantly until the sauce begins to thicken.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add more flour for a thicker sauce.

 

 

Red Wine Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of red wine
  • 1/4 cup of flour
  • 4 tbsp of butter
  • salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Combine the ingredients in a pan and stir constantly over medium heat until the sauce thickens and browns.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
