Mama's Kitchen Dilemmas

Stewed Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1can of stewed tomato sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • 2 cups of small shrimp, boiled, peeled and cleaned
  • 1 tsp of hot pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Simmer the ingredients on low for 12-15 minutes.
  2. Serve with pasta.

 

 

 

Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 cup of white wine
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 tsp of minced garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp of butter

Directions:

  1. Simmer the mushrooms in the butter with the garlic for 5 minutes.
  2. Wisk in the remaining ingredients and simmer them on low for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Serve the sauce over Penne pasta or rice.

 

 

 

Four Cheese Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of Parmesan
  • 1/4 cup of gorgonzola
  • 1/2 cup of feta
  • 1 cup of Monterey Jack
  • 1 cup of cream
  • salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Melt all the ingredients together and keep them warm.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Stir the sauce well.
