Raisin Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp of mustard
  • 1 tbsp of honey
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 3/4 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of raisins
  • 1/4 cup of molasses
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Boil the ingredients together for 30 seconds.
  2. Reduce the heat and simmer on low for 10-15 minutes.

 

 

 

Almond Sauce  

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of almonds, chopped
  • 2 tbsp of hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp of sherry
  • 2 scallions, chopped
  • 4 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • rice noodles

Directions:

  1. Sautee all the ingredients together over a high heat for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Serve over rice noodles or as a chicken marinade.

 

 

 

Rhubarb Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs of rhubarb, cleaned and chopped
  • 1 1/4 cups of sugar
  • 3/4 cups of water
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Directions:

  1. Mix the ingredients together in a pan over medium high heat.
  2. Cook the rhubarb and sugar down for about 12 minutes.
  3. Stir constantly.
