Mama's Kitchen Dilemmas

Herb Butter Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of thyme
  • 1/4 cup of basil
  • 1/4 cup of rosemary
  • 1/4 cup of oregano
  • pinch of lavender
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup of cream
  • 4 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable stock

Directions:

  1. Simmer the herbs in the olive oil on a medium low heat for 6 minutes.
  2. Add the cream and vegetable stock and bring the ingredients to a boil.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer on low for another 6 minutes.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.

 

 

 

Garlic Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 12 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream

Directions:

  1. Sautee the garlic in the butter and oil for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer on low until the sauce thickens.
  3. Add water if necessary and stir the ingredients constantly.

 

 

 

Horseradish Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz of horseradish, grated
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 1 tbsp of flour
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable stock
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp of vinegar
  • 2 tbsp of sugar

Directions:

  1. Wisk the ingredients together in a pan over medium heat until they thicken into a sauce.
