Mama's Kitchen Dilemmas

Spicy Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of ketchup
  • 2 tbsp of brown sugar
  • 1 tsp of hot pepper flakes
  • 4 tbsp of vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 5 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 2 tsp of mustard
  • 1 tsp of cayenne pepper

Directions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a pot.
  2. Mix them well and bring them to a boil.
  3. Reduce the heat and simmer them on low for 10 minutes.

 

 

 

Roast Beef Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of roast beef drippings
  • 2 tbsp of flour
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Heat all the ingredients in a pan.
  2. Stir them constantly until they begin to thicken into a sauce.

 

 

 

Simmered Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 bottle of BBQ sauce
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • 1 tbsp of hot pepper flakes
  • 3 tbsp of brown sugar

Directions:

  1. Simmer the sauce on low all day.
  2. Use for sandwiches and dipping sauce for fries and chicken nuggets or wings.
