Greek Salad Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 pre-made pizza crust, baked for 10 minutes before adding the ingredients
- 1 cup of tomato sauce, pre-made with garlic and oregano
- 12 slices of red onion
- 1 cup of chopped black olives
- 1/2 cup of feta, crumbled
- 1 cup of mozzarella, shredded
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tbsp of oregano
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
- Rub the pizza crust with the olive oil.
- Spread the sauce over top and sprinkle on the remaining ingredients.
- Bake the pizza in a 450-degree oven for 12 minutes.
Wheat Pizza Dough
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups of whole wheat flour
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 1/2 cups of bread flour
- 2 tsp of salt
- 1 tbsp of active dry yeast
Directions:
- Place the dry yeast in 1/2 cup of warm water.
- Allow to set for 5 minutes.
- Add the salt, oil and an additional cup of warm water.
- Mix oil mixture with the wheat flour and bread flour in an electric mixer for 7 minutes.
- Cover the dough with a damp towel and leave it for 1 hour.
- Flour a flat surface and beat the dough with your fists.
- Form two or three small balls.
- Rub the dough balls with olive oil and let them set for 40 minutes before shaping into pizza pies.
