Orange Pecan Delights


  • 3 cups of flour
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 tbsp of orange rind
  • 1 cup of pecans, chopped



  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp of grated orange rind
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 4 tbsp of orange juice


  1. Mix separately the dry and wet ingredients for the cookie dough and them combine the two mixtures.
  2. Mix together the ingredients for the frosting and refrigerate.
  3. Take tbsp scoops of the dough and drop them on a greased cookie. Place the cookie sheet in a 375-degree oven for 10 minutes.
  4. Frost the cookies while they are still warm and store them in a cool dark place.

Makes: 3 dozen cookies




Butterfinger Candy Bar Cookies


  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • 1 3/4 cup of flour
  • 1/3 tsp of salt
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 stick of margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of chopped butter finger candy bars.


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Beat together all the ingredients; making sure that the flour is mixed well into the dough.
  3. Drop teaspoon size scoops of the dough onto a cookie sheet
  4. Bake cookies in a 375-degree oven for 11 minutes.
  5. Store the cookies in a cool place.

Makes: 3 dozen cookies
