Lemon Pound Cake

Ingredients:

  • ¾ lb. butter (or 3 sticks)
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 oz. lemon extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cups flour
  • ½ tsp. baking powder

Directions:

  1. Do not preheat oven!
  2. Cream butter.
  3. Add sugar and eggs to the creamed butter.
  4. Beat well.
  5. Add lemon juice, lemon extract and milk.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Add flour and baking powder, mixing until blended thoroughly.
  8. Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan.
  9. Place the pan into a cold oven and then set the temperature to 350 degrees.
  10. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

 

 

 

Kayla's Going Broke Cake

Ingredients:

  • ½ c. margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 3 c. all purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ tsp. Baking soda
  • jelly (any flavor)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix ingredients together.
  3. Bake in layer pans.
  4. Let cool for 1 hour
  5. Take cake out of pans.
  6. Spread with jelly.
