Fudge Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 1 tsp of almond extract
- 1 cup of flour
- 1/2 tsp of baking soda
- 1 bag of Hershey’s chocolate kisses
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of chopped walnuts
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Melt the chocolate kisses.
- Add to the melted chocolate the eggs, butter almond extract and sugar.
- Add the flour, baking soda and walnuts.
- Place heaping tablespoon-size scoops of dough onto a cookie sheet.
- Bake in a 350-degree oven for 11 minutes.
Makes: 26 cookies
Cinnamon Drops
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of crushed walnuts
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 tsp of cinnamon
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1 1/4 cup of flour
- 3 tbsp of powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of crush cloves
- 3 tbsp of brown sugar
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add the egg, powdered sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla and mix well.
- Refrigerate the dough for two hours.
- Form the dough into small balls and roll them in the cinnamon and walnuts.
- Place dough balls on a cookie sheet.
- Bake dough balls in a 375-degree oven for 14 minutes.
