Mama's Kitchen Dilemmas



Cinnamon Molasses Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp of ginger powder
  • 2 tsp of baking powder
  • 2 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of cloves, crushed
  • 3/4 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup of molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp of salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Combine all the ingredients together in a blender and mix them on a medium speed for 5 minutes.
  3. Roll the dough into small balls.
  4. Roll the balls in white sugar.
  5. Place balls on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake balls in a 375-degree oven for 9 minutes.

 

 

 

Granny's Coffee Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 package of cream cheese
  • 1 cup of wheat flour
  • 3 tsp of instant coffee
  • 2 tsp of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 25 almond chocolate kisses

Directions:

  1. Beat together al the ingredients.
  2. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  3. Roll little balls from the dough and place them in mini muffin tins.
  4. Press a chocolate kiss in the center of the dough ball and bake them in a 325 degree oven for 20-24 minutes.

Makes: 24 cookies.
