Crockpot Best Ever Dumplings and Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of chicken stock
  • 7-8 globs of Bisquick dumplings, pre-made (add 1 tbsp of fresh chopped dill)
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2-3 tbsp of flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp of parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp of garlic salt

Directions:

  1. Set the dumpling mix aside and simmer the remaining ingredients in a crockpot until the gravy thickens.
  2. Add the dumpling globs and simmer them for 2 hours or until the dumplings are cooked.

 

 

 

Crockpot Pot Pie with Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of gravy
  • 1 1/2 cups of carrots, boiled
  • 1 cup of frozen peas
  • 8 blobs of Bisquick dumpling mix, pre-made
  • 2 cups of potatoes, peeled, cubed and boiled
  • 1 cup of celery, finely chopped
  • 1 can of green beans, rinsed and drained
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Set the Bisquick blobs aside.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients to a crockpot and simmer them on low for 3 hours.
  3. Add the Bisquick blobs and simmer everything for another 2 hours.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.

 

 

 

Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts, with bone and skin
  • 2 liters of vegetable stock
  • 3 carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 2 ribs of celery, chopped
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp of allspice
  • 2 tbsp of parsley, chopped
  • 6 globs of Bisquick dumpling mix
  • 1/2 cup of dry white wine
  • 1 cup of frozen peas
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. 1. Set the dumpling mix aside.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients to a crockpot and simmer them on low for 12 hours.
  3. Remove the meat from the chicken bones and return it to crockpot.
  4. Discard the bones and skin.
  5. Add the dumpling globs on top of the ingredients.
  6. Simmer another hour or until the dumplings are cooked.
  7. Add salt and pepper to taste.
