Russian Sun Tea

Ingredients:

  • 6 Orange Spice tea bags
  • 2 Lemon tea bags
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1 gallon water
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Directions:

  1. Add sugar to water in a clear, 1 gallon container.
  2. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add tea bags; leave strings and tags hanging outside jar.
  4. Add cinnamon stick and cloves.
  5. Place in sun for about six hours or so, then remove tea bags, cinnamon stick, and cloves, and refrigerate.
  6. Serve with ice in tall glasses.
  7. Garnish with a slice of orange.

 

 

 

Apple Iced Tea

Ingredients:

  • 4 tea bags
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Sugar (optional or to taste)

Directions:

  1. Steep tea bags in boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Discard tea bags and add remaining ingredients
  3. Chill.

 

 

 

Southern Fruit Tea

Ingredients:

  • Tea bags for 2 gallons tea
  • 1 1/2 quarts boiling water
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 (48 ounce) can pineapple juice
  • 1 (12 ounce) can frozen orange juice
  • 1 (12 ounce) can frozen lemonade

Directions:

  1. Place tea bags in bowl or pitcher.
  2. Pour boiling water over tea bags.
  3. Add sugar, stirring to dissolve.
  4. Let tea bags steep in sugar water several hours or overnight.
  5. Discard tea bags.
  6. Pour tea into a large bowl.
  7. Add juices, stirring well.
  8. Pour equal amounts into two one-gallon jugs.
  9. Add water to each to fill jug.
  10. Refrigerate.
  11. Shake well before serving.

 

 

 

Tangy Tea

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Tang
  • 1/2 cup instant tea
  • 1 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 small pkg. instant lemonade mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Directions:

  1. Blend thoroughly.
  2. Store in tightly covered jar.
  3. Use 2 heaping tsp. of mix for each cup of boiling water.
