Mama's kitchen dilemmas




Lime Fizz

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup lime juice
  • club soda

Directions:

  1. Combine sugar and lime juice in saucepan.
  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Simmer 2 minutes and remove from heat, strain.
  4. Pour 3 tbsp. lime/sugar syrup in glass.
  5. Add ¾ cup club soda and ice to fill glass.

 

 

 

Apple Berry Fizz

Ingredients:

  • 1/2  cup  Strawberries/raspberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1  cup  Apple juice
  • 1/2  cup  Ice cubes
  • 1/3  cup  Oat bran cereal
  • 1/2  cup  Club soda

Directions:

  1. Put all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into tall glasses.

 

 

 

Orange Fog

Ingredients:

  • 2 cup sugar
  • 2 qts. Water
  • 1/8 cup lemon juice
  • 4 cans frozen orange juice (concentrate)

Directions:

  1. Mix sugar and 3 cups water in saucepan, heat and stir until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Cool.
  3. Mix lemon juice, orange concentrate and remaining water.
  4. Add sugar mixture to orange mixture.
  5. Pour mixture into ice trays and freeze until crystal, not firm.
  6. Serve in tall glasses with spoons and straws.
