Fruity Summer Cooler
Ingredients:
- 6 ice cubes
- 1/2 cup cubed cantaloupe
- 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup cranberry juice
- 1/3 cup sliced banana
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 3/4 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon grated lemon peel
Directions:
- Place all ingredients in a blender; cover and blend until smooth.
Melon-ade
Ingredients:
- 7 cups cubed and seeded watermelon
- 1 can (6 oz. size) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Small watermelon wedges, for garnish
Directions:
- Spread watermelon cubes in a single layer on a baking pan.
- Freeze 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
- Place thawed concentrate in a blender container. Gradually add icy watermelon cubes, blending until slushy. (If necessary, add a small amount of water).
- Add sugar.
- Garnish each serving with a watermelon wedge.
Citrus Soother
Ingredients:
- 3 cups orange juice
- 1 cup grapefruit juice
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cinnamon stick -- 3 inches long
Directions:
- In a medium saucepan combine orange juice, grapefruit juice, honey, and cinnamon.
- Heat, stirring occasionally, just until warm (do not boil).
- Remove cinnamon with slotted spoon; discard.
- Serve warm.
- Great when you have a cold!
