Mama's kitchen dilemmas




Cranberry cooler

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 4 c. cold water
  • 16 oz. unsweetened cranberry juice
  • ¼ c. orange juice
  • Ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Prepare lemonade with water in a large pitcher.
  2. Stir in cranberry juice and orange juice.
  3. Pour over ice cubes in tall glasses.

 

 

 

Summertime cooler

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (12 oz.) frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
  • 1 can (6 oz.) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 2 limes
  • 1 orange
  • 2 L (8 c.) chilled seltzer

Directions:

  1. Place limeade and orange juice concentrate into large serving pitcher.
  2. Using a fruit or vegetable scorer, score fruit in one continuous spiral, top to bottom.
  3. Slice the fruit into 8 wedges, placing half of the wedges into the pitcher and setting the other half aside for garnish.
  4. Add seltzer to the pitcher and mix until everything is blended well.
  5. Garnish glasses with fruit wedges before serving.

Serves 12 persons
