Mama's kitchen dilemmas




Hot Vanilla Milk

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Place milk in a microwave-safe mug.
  2. Microwave 1-1/2 minutes on high power or until hot.
  3. Remove from microwave; stir in honey, vanilla and cinnamon.

 

 

 

Bloody Bug Juice

Ingredients:

  • 2 (12 ounce) packages of frozen strawberries, defrosted
  • 1 (6 ounce) can of lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 1 quart ginger ale
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen

Directions:

  1. Place the strawberries in a bowl and mash them with a fork.
  2. In a large pitcher, mix the strawberries, lemonade and ginger ale.
  3. Place handfuls of raisins and blueberries (these are your bugs) into the glasses.
  4. Pour the liquid over the bugs, then sit back and watch the bugs and scum rise to the top of each glass.

 

 

 

Blushing Buttermilk

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup chilled tomato juice
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions:

  1. Mix well.
