Encouraging notes to Premature babies and their families

Our daughter just turned 40 yesterday. She was also a preemie at 3 pounds 11 ounces. They have many more advances in medicine these days. Your chances are wonderful and I will pray for you and your family daily.

While I knit another hat, here are some sayings:

* You are one in a million!
* There is no one else exactly like you!
* You are our family's sunshine!
* How did we get so lucky to have a sweetie like you?
* Where have you been all our lives?
* Love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!
* We LOVE having you in our family!
* You are THE best!!

- Denise

I smell your scent, I touch your body, I feel your presence, I know the love that radiates from you, and you are my Angel!

I just wanted to let you know that after having 2 daughters in the NICU (27 weeks and 32 weeks), I now have beautiful daughters ages 4 and 2. Babies and families in the NICU have their ups and downs, but every day is a small victory. You can do this and will come out of it with a beautiful addition or additions to your family. Trust in love and each other and seek support when you need it. The NICU seems like a long journey, but is just a blip on the map. Congratulations to you and the birth of a new life!

Sleep and have happy dreams, precious one, as one day those dreams will come true! Love & hugs.

This is for you, Dear Parent.

You wait in a silent prayer, know that God watches over you little bundle of joy. While they are small and shocking to imagine and may not be as planned. Just focus. Focus on the Positive. Focus on the Future you and your child will have. Birthday Parties, Teddy Bears, Monsters under the Bed, Blanket Forts, Baseball or Hairbows, Soccer Practice, Violin Lessons, Ballet Recitals, High School Graduations, Report Cards, Drivers Liscence, their First Fender Bender, and eventually, after all your worry and fear, they will bring home your little Grandchild. You'll wonder why I've made such a long spill, but here's why.
I am a NICU Graduate. I was once like your child and my parents were once like you. So, this is for you, Dear Parents.
With Love,
A NICU Graduate.

- Katheryn

Just because you were born a bit earlier, we get to comfort, love, and cherish you a bit sooner.
