I'm just a mechanic

I was an auto mechanic and when my girlfriend's car needed work, I gave her my car and she drove it until I finished repairing hers. One day I was ready to return her car and she asked me to bring it to her at the bowling alley where she was in a league. I walked into the alley, found her, and swapped keys with her. As we were talking, she said, "There's someone I want you to meet."

Naturally I thought it was someone from where she worked or another member of her bowling team. She took me by the hand and guided me to the back of the building. We walked up to a good looking guy dressed in a three-piece suit and overcoat. She let go of my hand, walked over and took his hand, and said, "Tim, this is my new boyfriend."

I was stunned, of course, and it took a couple of seconds for this information to sink in. I said, "If he is your new boyfriend, then that means I am your old boyfriend." Then ... the kicker. She said, "But I still want us to be friends." Yeah, right. Like that was going to happen! I left the alley and never saw or spoke to her again.
