Scream for help

I want to tell the girl who wrote the letter about being bulimic.  Sister, I am 29, and I have been bulimic since the age of 12.

It was first on for a while, and then I would stop. But, because I never dealt with the issues causing the problem my bulimia obviously returned.

If someone would have told me what could happen to me if I continued, I would have sought help long time ago.  Sister, let me tell you, leave it or it will never go away, and you are already at a stage where you say you can't stop.  Remember, you can stop! You can, but you must start speaking about it, about how you feel about it, and this will reveal the issues behind your crying out for help.

Bulimia is only telling you that something is bothering your spirit.  Look into your past with regards to sexual abuse or wrong sexual habits, as I can assure you, this is at the base of your addiction.

I went through hell for many, many years.  This habit will destroy all your dreams, your whole life.  It happened to me. The power of this habit lies in the fact that you do not speak about it.

Don't worry about what people will think of you, because they will help you and not push you away. Pray to God and ask him to send you the right people. There is only more hell and darkness ahead for you if you continue, and that is a fact.

Sister, I am now recovering and after so many years it is much harder. So, the sooner you get out and scream for help the better.
