It Was A Game I have been bulimic and anorexic since I was 16. At first it was a game of how much weight I could lose. I lost over 80 pounds in a mere 5 1/2 months. After that, I turned bulimic. I continued off and on from that point on. I also struggled with drug abuse and compulsive working out. I have been hospitalized from taking too many add pills, and diet pills, and being severely dehydrated. I have had in-patient treatments twice. I have seen many different therapists and dietitians. My family is fully aware of my disease and is very supportive. I struggle every day, but have been sober from my bulimia, and I am trying to gain a better and healthier relationship with food. Finding a healthy balance is the key, and a support network is a necessary step in the recovery process. While I will never be completely healed in my relationship with food, I know I will be working every day for the rest of my life to become the mom and wife I desire to be. I encourage all to seek help, and take the steps to start on the track of a healthy lifestyle. I have struggled for 7 years, and if I can do it, you can too!
