Needs Me Around For Support To Worried Mom: You're not alone. My daughter has been struggling with bulimia since eight grade; she's now in the 11th grade. When you were talking about the lies, I could relate to you. I read from her diary that she even believes her own lies or has a hard time judging whether they are lies or not. Some days she wants to get better, and she'll make plans to complete her missing work from school, but then she'll just sleep through most of the day. I rushed her into an emergency room after she tried to end it. She overdosed on aspirin, ibuprofen, and acetaminophen. I'm so happy I was home early from work. She won't go back to school. We are planning on signing her up to finish the 11th grade through internet courses. I took a Medical Leave from my job for two weeks to see what I could do for her. Maybe she just needs me around for support. I wish I didn't have to work, so I could help her more. I'm a single mom. We have a home. I might have to use the money for the mortgage payment to pay doctor, counselor's, and now the internet courses bills. We don't have insurance. I can't afford it. I buy groceries, and if she binges, they go down the toilet if she throws up. It's a daily battle, but I believe in God that the battle is won, and she'll be well soon. I have to believe. This consumes me. I want the best for her, yet she has been drowning in a world of shadows and darkness.
