My Friends and Anorexia!

I am a girl who is 18 years old and I have a story to tell you about my friend and how she battled through anorexia.

Well, it all started when we were about 12 and 13.
We were all best friends. She had a good life until
her mum and dad divorced. She had a horrible step mother who said she looked like a pig and said other horrible things about her image.

One of our friends stopped being friends with us. She said horrible things about our friend. My friend had a boyfriend who was encouraging her to make a better image of herself.

She was feeling rather depressed so she thought of plans to become skinny and make her image look better. She became obsessed with weights and
calories, ate a tiny bit of fruit and over exercised a lot.

She lost 20 kilos and her body looked fragile. Her step mom and her dad didn't notice. But I and another friend did. We tried to stop her path to
anorexia. But her boyfriend encouraged her even more. We talked to her and begged her to stop. Then her mom came to her home to see her. The mom realized that she had lost weight and she took her to the hospital.

The doctor asked her to tell the truth and she told the truth. They checked her weight. Her BMI was low and underweight.

After another checkup because of the mom panicking, they found out that she was anorexic. It was horrible. She started therapy sessions.

After she dumped the stupid guy who led her to this state and she moved to her mom's home. She slowly started to put on some weight after understanding the consequences.

She is still recovering and battling her way through this horrible thing. She is relieved. But those who are out there reading this, don't listen to stupid, useless people and become anorexic. Eating disorders are horrible and painful.

Thank you.
