My Family's Asthma Story My mother lived with asthma for 30yrs or more. She continued to smoke, sometimes three packs a day. My sisters smoked and my brother, but I never did. I'm married to a smoker and always concerened about the health of my loved ones who smoke. I preached to them every day that they could suffer from asthma just like mom did. Mom died Jan of 2001, from complications due to years of taking meds such as prednizone, sustaire, and others. She was 59 but looked 80. 2 weeks ago I went to the Dr. with a bad cough, results astmatic bronchitis (my age 33). My husband smokes outside now as do my sisters. So ironic there lifestyle affected me for years and I wasnt aware of it, now I affect theirs. Sincerly, Hard to breathe
